THE BRIEF

  • Challenge: NSW Waratah’s brief was to leverage social media to increase membership and build community of fans. The sporting team needed to increase their online and social reach in order to funnel a larger number of fans to become members.

  • Strategy: Track online conversations around NSW Waratahs, identifying themes and triggers to participate and convert online fans into paying members. Evolve then conducted a Customer Segmentation and Conversation Themes social media research report.

  • Result: Using the consumer insights to develop an online promotional strategy to promote benefits of Waratah's membership and convert new members cost effectively. A successful viral promotion was created: ‘Win a season pass for you & four Mates’. End result, Evolve helped triple Facebook fans to over 100k.
